In 2020, the Covid -19 pandemic greatly changed service delivery in universities globally. Most universities had to quickly move from the traditional face to face to virtual learning. Although most students were required to have personal computers to join classes, mobile phones became more popular as the preferred method of online studies due to their portability and convenience.
Universities have had a chance o innovate and mobile apps are becoming the preferred mode of communication in some universities. In the west, universities are increasingly using mobile apps to cultivate health and wellness. This method has gained popularity among universities in the west but is yet to catch up with other regions especially Africa. Tech companies are also not left behind. Platforms such as Modo are providing universities with platforms to create suitable apps to help in information digitization. The following is an illustration of 3 universities using their mobile apps to promote health and well being within their staff and students.
